HOW DO WE OBTAIN YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?
I know what you might think when an unsolicited letter comes through the door. Firstly, to clarify, all data we obtain is publicly available (you will read below).
Also, we NEVER contact your letting/estate agent for information about you. They will be unable to supply this due to GDPR and we would never request information from them.
Obtaining Property Information:
All of our information regarding the rental of your property comes from historical lettings data via Rightmove & Zoopla which is publicly available to anyone. This gives us the address of the rental property, the agent name, the listing price and when it was marketed to let.
Obtaining Names and Addresses:
We use the Government’s HM Land Registry search engine to access Title Deeds, this can be accessed by anyone in the world for a small fee (£3). This is the only information available through land registry, we can not access any other details.
Why do we send you a letter?
Unlike sales, letting agents work solely with landlords (obviously)! One barrier with this is the fact landlords tend to live at a different address to the rental property. We would love to send correspondence to the rental property. However, this rarely gets to the landlord. We love talking with landlords, but understand that letters from unknown people can cause some worries. If you would like us to stop sending you a letter then please get in touch. The last thing we want is for people to be unnerved from our marketing.
